A Jazz Maestro
Joe Cartwright’s impressive career includes collaborations with jazz luminaries such as Eddie Harris, Christian McBride, Jeff Hamilton, John Clayton, Randy Brecker, Sheila Jordan, Joe Sample, Kevin Mahogany, and Mel Torme. Notably, he has performed for audiences across Africa, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia as part of the USIA/Kennedy Center Jazz Ambassador Touring Program. For eight years, Joe was music director for the critically acclaimed NPR radio show 12th Street Jump. His quartet represented Kansas City at El Festival International De Jazz in Asunción, Paraguay.
